Road Terrain Ingame Example

 


Roads would be really cool on larger maps, I'd love to be able to put roads on my Casablanca map, where you have to cross the whole of north African desert. Imagine the strategical advantage of controlling a road leading through a big desert or mountain range. In this example I packed the map with too many roads to test the connectivity of the road set I've prepared. Road tiles should be used more sparsely though it doesn't look too good if the map is full of roads. Fast vehicles (Raiders, Assault Artillery) would benefit most from the low mobility cost on road tiles.

  • improved speed for land units

    What for: Speeds up gameplay. Especially on larger maps travelling time can take several turns, when you want to relocate larger number of units this can be very annoying. Also blocking roads and interupting reinforcement routes could be a nice new addition to tactical options.
