Victory spots would be nice, because they would encourage players to act more offensive, take more risks and play faster in general. Also tiles and rules like capture the flag could give hope to those who lost some bases and therefore would lose the game due to the economical disadvantage. With victory spots a economically weaker player still could seize the flags in a well done tactical surprise attack and win.
